Remarks

• adult size between 45 and 60 mm
• mostly orange brown to pink brown coloured, less common are white specimens, rarely yellow
• left (upper) valve has 20-24 strong ribs, interspace wide
• closely related to Euvola ziczac (Linnaeus, 1758) from the same locality but the latter has more ribs (32-36) which are flatter and the interspace between the ribs is very small
